Continental’s tyre for larger sporty cars, the ContiSportContact 3 received the second highest overall performance score in the 225/45R17Y category the UK’s biggest selling high performance tyre size scoring five stars in dry handling and braking. The ContiEcoContact 3, specially developed for smaller cars and superminis, was awarded three Which? Best Buys in the 155/70R13T, 165/70R14T and 175/65R14T categories.
Which? tested a total of 119 tyres across nine tyre sizes. They tested for six different criteria including dry and wet braking, handling, wet grip and noise.
Scott Benbow, product manager at Continental, declared himself pleased at the results: “The Continental car tyre range has really shown its pedigree. All our products are developed with safety in mind without compromising on other performance aspects. We want motorists, whatever type of car they drive, to have complete confidence when driving in both wet and dry conditions. A total of 8 best buys for Continental across the tests is testimony to the overall high performance of our tyres. The Which? Best Buy recommendations are a real honour and it’s great to be recognised in these independent tests by a leading consumer magazine.” (Tyres & Accessories/Staffordshire, U.K.)
