Continental’s ProContact TX has been chosen as OE on the new Porsche Macan compact SUV.
The SUV will be shoed with the ProContact TX in both 18-in. and 19-in. fitments. Since the tires have been approved by Porsche, the sidewall bears the additional mark of N0 to distinguish them from other tires, Continental said. Sizes for the vehicle include 235/60R18 103V FR ProContact TX N0 and 235/55R19 101V FR ProContact TX N0 for the front and 255/55R18 105V FR ProContact TX N0 and 255/50R19 103V FR ProContact TX N0 for the rear.
The ProContact TX is a luxury touring, all-season tire. The tire is designed to promote multi-directional grip and low noise, while providing secure corning and performance in wet and dry conditions, Continental said.
Porsche has also approved ContiProContact tires for its Panamera model. Approved ContiProContact sizes include 285/40R19 103V ContiProContact N1 for the back and 255/45R19 100V ContiProContact N1 for the front.
