Chris Han is part of the Kumho Tire U.S.A. team that transitioned from Rancho Cucamonga, Calif., to the tiremaker’s new headquarters in Atlanta, Ga. Making the move is a point of pride for Han.
“I’ve worked on multiple projects that I’m proud of, but what I’m proud of lately has been my ability to help Kumho Tire with the transition to a new corporate HQ and all of the details that came along with that,” he shares.
Han has been part of the Kumho team for more than 10 years, after being targeted by a headhunter seeking bi-lingual candidates. Han started in OE operations and has since spent four years on the marketing team.
As a product manager, Han is in charge of product planning, dealer programs and co-ops. Additionally, Han lends his support in communication, branding and creative initiatives. He says his favorite part of working in the tire industry is the competition.
“We always strive to develop competitive programs and new creative and brand strategies to successfully market our products,” he says.
Han’s definition of success is being proud of what you do on a daily basis, and knowing that you did something meaningful every day.
Fun Fact: If he could have any superpower, Han says he would want the ability to teleport because he hates flying.
