Canadian Association Appoints Michelin’s Allen as Chair

The Rubber Association of Canada board of directors appointed Peter Allen, director of commercial business for Michelin North America (Canada) Inc., as the incoming chair.

He will lead the association for the 2009-10 year following the 89th annual general meeting, held June 17 in Mississauga.

Allen replaces Doug Hamilton, president of Goodyear Canada Inc., who will become immediate past-chair.

The 2009-10 board of directors also includes Robert Hagerman, AirBoss of America Corp.; Roch LeBlanc, American Biltrite (Canada) Ltd.; Jim Schmidt, Bridgestone Canada Inc.; Dave House, Cabot Canada Ltd.; Bernard Gregoire, Hamilton Kent; Greg Bavington, National Rubber Technologies; Marco Zambianchi, Pirelli Tire Inc.; and Mario Larose, Waterville TG Inc. Nexen Tire to be the official tire partner of the San Diego Padres

Nexen Tire will be featured on a variety of marketing assets, including billboards and in-ballpark branding at Petco Park.

Nexen Tire America recently revealed a multi-year partnership with the Major League Baseball team San Diego Padres, spanning the 2024-27 seasons. As the Padres' exclusive tire partner, Nexen Tire will be featured on a variety of marketing assets, including digitally enhanced billboards, in-ballpark branding, mound signage, and more, at Petco Park. In 2023, the Padres drew the second-highest attendance in all of MLB.
