TRIB will begin holding retread and tire maintenance workshops for public-sector fleets throughout the state. California retreaders that are members of TRIB will be invited to participate.
“We are grateful to the CIWMB board for being far-sighted enough to understand the financial assistance they are providing to TRIB will go a long way towards educating all public-sector fleets about the environmental and economic benefits of having their tires retreaded,” said Harvey Brodsky, TRIB managing director. “Given the large number of commercial vehicles used by public-sector fleets throughout the state, this grant will not only greatly help to reduce scrap tire piles in California, but it will also save California taxpayers a significant amount of money that can be put to much better uses.”
