Bridgestone Doubles Aircraft Tire Capacity

(Akron/Tire Review – Dow Jones Newswires) Bridgestone Corp. will double its production capacity for aircraft radial tires by 2011 and set up a second production facility on the site of its existing plant in Tokyo.

The tiremaker said it expects global demand for aircraft tires to increase 50% over the next five years.
