As reported yesterday, Bridgestone intends to introduce Bridgestone-branded agricultural tires in Europe. The first products will be launched at next year’s ‘Reifen’ show in Germany and enter the market in the second half of 2014.
Participating in the agricultural business with the Bridgestone brand is uncharted territory for the Japanese tiremaker, and speaking with Tyres & Accessories, Lothar Schmitt points out that at present the tiremaker has no plans to launch Bridgestone-brand agricultural tire lines in other regional markets. The Bridgestone Europe director of Agricultural and Off-the-Road tires says the multi-brand strategy, with a Bridgestone-brand focus at the top end of the market, will initially only be followed in Europe.
