Bonnie Blair Helps Goodyear Honor Olympian Supporters

Just weeks before the opening of the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, Goodyear announced the three winners of its 2010 Get There Award.

The award honors those most responsible for helping American athletes achieve their dream of competing in the Olympics.

Goodyear’s selection panel included World and Olympic Champion Bonnie Blair, the United States’ most decorated Winter Olympian, holding a record five gold medals and a bronze medal as well as 10 World Cup titles, 66 World Cup races, and nine World Records earned during her career.

Medal winners included:

• Frances Bradley of Philadelphia for her support of bobsledder Michael Bradley.

• Paul Marchese of West Coxsackie, N.Y., for his support of speed skater Trevor Marsicano.

• Buzz Smith of Cape Coral, Fla., for his support of curler Jason Smith.
