A Big O Tires employee in Murray, Utah, rescued a 21-year-old male pedestrian hit and pinned under a car outside the tire shop.
After hearing the crash, Armando Espinoza ran outside and used a jack to unpin the victim, Fox 13 reports.
“First thing I thought was, ‘I have to get a jack so I can get him out’ so I went over and jacked the car up,” Espinoza told Fox 13.
The driver of the car veered off the road and hit a motorcycle and a stack of tires before hitting and dragging a pedestrian on the sidewalk for several yards and slamming into a power pole, police reported. The driver told police she was fatigued and dizzy.
The victim was taken to the hospital and is in stable condition with several fractures, police reported, and the driver was cited with a moving violation.
