BFS Launches Consumer Sale Web Site

BFS Retail & Commercial Operations has launched a new Web site, designed to help its chain of retail tire stores attract customers.

Etire.com was quietly launched earlier this month, supported by a handful of ads in airline magazines, select major market newspapers and Sports Illustrated magazine.

The Web site allows consumers to find Bridgestone and Firestone brand tires that best fit their cars or light trucks, provides them information as to the closest retail store, allows them to set up an appointment, and gives specific price quotes for the tires and related services.

Supported by the new Web site are Firestone Complete Auto Care locations, as well as Tires Plus, Expert Tire, Wheel Works and Hibdon Tires Plus locations around the U.S. BFS Retail & Commercial Operations said it had no plans to expand the Web site to include independent tire dealers.

As the new site just launched July 1, company officials don’t have specific traffic or response results as yet, but did say the site had averaged about 1,000 visits per day. (Tire Review/Akron)
