Fresh off of the appointment of his son Tad Bauer as president of Bauer Built Inc., company chairman and CEO Jerry Bauer announced other management changes.
Jim Fenn, a 31-year employee at Bauer Built and most recently executive vice president of business development, retired at the close of 2012. Larry Hildebrandt, a 27-year employee at Bauer Built, retired Feb. 1 as vice president of marketing.
Hildebrandt was replaced by Paul Johnson, the new vice president of marketing, who came to Bauer Built from outside the tire industry.
Mike Weber, who had been manager of Bauer Built’s store in Waukesha, Wis., was named director of manufacturing and is now in charge of seven retread facilities and three wheel refinishing shops.
Jim Mitchell was promoted from manager of the Bauer Built store in St. Paul, Minn., to vice president of sales for the newly designated northwest region, encompassing Bauer Built Tire Centers in St. Paul and Blaine, Minn., and Fargo, N.D.
