Bauer Built Announces 2017 Scholarship Winners

Bauer Built Inc. has announced the 2017 winners of the G. F. “Sam” and Ethel V. Bauer/Bauer Built Inc. Scholarship Award.

The tire dealership introduced this program in 1994 in commemoration of their 50th Anniversary and in honor of their founders, G. F. “Sam” and Ethel V. Bauer.

Four students were awarded $1,500 scholarships each:

Daniela Ballines is the daughter of Omar and Ariadnna Ballines.  Omar is a heavy duty service technician at the Bauer Built Tire Center in Romeoville, Ill.  Daniela plans to attend Aurora University in Aurora, Ill., and study health and science.

Skylar Harmon is the daughter of Stacey and Jodi Harmon of Chehalis, Wash., and also the granddaughter of Brad and Fay Harmon of Chetek, Wisc.  Brad is an outside sales rep in the Durand Wholesale Department at the corporate office in Durand.  Skylar plans to attend the University of Washington in Seattle to study biology/pre-medicine.

Mariah Weiss is the daughter of Mark and Karen Weiss of Durand, Wisc.  Mark is an outside sales rep at the Bauer Built Tire Center in Durand, Wisc.  Mariah plans to attend the University of Wisconsin in River Falls and study animal science.

Ashleigh White is the daughter of Donnie and Brenda White.  Donnie is an outside sales rep at the Bauer Built Tire Center in Des Moines, Iowa.  Ashleigh plans to attend the Des Moines Area Community College in Ankeny, Iowa, and study in environmental science.

To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must be a Bauer Built employee, a son or daughter, stepson or stepdaughter, or grandchild of a Bauer Built employee who is graduating from high school and enrolled in a post-secondary course of instruction.

Since 1994, Bauer Built has awarded $102,000 in scholarships.
