Raj Banerji has succeeded Sunam Sarkar as chief financial officer at Apollo Tyres Ltd.
“We are on the cusp of our next phase of growth globally. Having a person like Raj join our global team at this crucial time, with a strong international experience, will provide further impetus to this growth, and at the same time, contribute to the organization’s overall financial health and stability,” said Neeraj Kanwar, Apollo’s vice-chairman and managing director.
Banerji most recently worked with one of India’s largest private companies as chief financial officer. He also spent several years with BP in various leadership roles including oil exploration, commodity trading, marketing and refining.
Banerji will report to Neeraj Kanwar.
Sarkar has left his position as chief financial officer and will serve as Apollo’s president and chief business officer.
