Preliminary anti-dumping duties for certain passenger and light truck tires imported from China went into effect Jan. 27, 2015.
With the ruling published in the Federal Register, manufacturers and importers of Chinese passenger and light truck tires must now pay anti-dumping duty rates ranging from 19.17% to 87.99% before adjustments, retroactive to 90 days prior to the published date.
The Department of Commerce has requested comments on the ruling, and interested parties have 30 days from the published date to request a public hearing on the issue. According to the DOC, the agency will make its final determination on anti-dumping no later than 135 days after Jan. 27, and the final determination on material injury from the ITC will be due 45 days after that.
