Among the new products on display at the Autopromotec 2011 show in Bologna is the sens.it universal replacement sensor for TPMS systems. This sensor, developed by German firm Alligator Ventilfabrik, is being brought to the market in partnership with Ireland’s TyreCheck and is said to cover 90% of all original equipment TPMS. It is being shown at Autopromotec along with TyreCheck’s Incontact tire retailer sales and marketing solution.
TyreCheck collaborated with Alligator in the introduction of the new sens.it TPMS product through the provision of software and database solutions, as well as programming applications. Merging Alligator’s valve hardware, which is used to satisfy all mechanical installations for metal clamp-in and rubber snap-in valves, with TyreCheck’s tire management software, sens.it is designed to enable tire shops to provide a complete solution for the replacement of OE TPMS sensors.
“We are very pleased that our smart new technologies and our successful collaboration with the world-leading valve supplier, Alligator, has aided the introduction to the market of this unique universal TPMS replacement sensor,” commented TyreCheck managing director Michael O’Dwyer. “The technologies we have deployed in the invention of this product stem from our tire retailer sales and marketing solution, Incontact, which has been enhanced with additional functionality this year.
“Both solutions will enable tire shops of all sizes to extend their own business services, lower costs and galvanize additional sales and revenues. We look forward to extensively rolling out these latest products, as well as our suite of fleet management solutions for truck and bus, into the European and U.S. markets in the immediate future.” (Tyres & Accessories)
