Alliance Tire Group has introduced new sizes of agricultural tires to its Agriflex line, including one size that’s almost seven feet tall.
James Crouch, national product manager for Alliance’s agricultural division, said the new sizes include the Agriflex 372 IF 1250/50R32 and the Agriflex 372 IF 1050/50R32. Both tires feature technology that allows the tire to have lower air pressure, carry more load and minimize soil compaction.
Crouch said the 1250 size weighs 1,100 pounds, is 82 inches tall and has a maximum pressure at 46 psi. It can carry at least 23,000 pounds in the field.
He said Allaince added the jumbo size to fit a grain cart or combine. He says the flotation aspect of the tire is what customers look for during heavy rain.
“If it starts to rain in July, they (farmers) have the capacity and can cover the field as much as possible,” Crouch said about the new tire size.
The tire’s smaller size, the 1050, can be used in the same applications. Crouch said Alliance is the only tire manufacturer that carries the 1050 size in an with increased flexion (IF), which offers a lower inflation pressure for better soil compaction.
Crouch said tires part of the Agriflex line are built with a steel belt across the tread face, which prevents stubble damage and adds durability.
The tires are available now to order.
