Alliance Tire Americas Recalls Certain Galaxy Commercial Tires

The tires were produced between June 22 and Nov. 17, 2019 and are stamped with DOT codes 2519 through 4619.

ATC Tire PVT. Ltd. (ATC) is issuing a voluntary recall of approximately 1,178 Galaxy DH241-G 16H commercial truck tires produced at the ATC Tires PVT. Ltd. factory in Dahej, India in 2019.

The tires were produced between June 22 and Nov. 17, 2019. The tires are stamped with Department of Transportation (DOT) codes 2519 through 4619.

Alliance Tire Americas, Inc. (ATA) is executing this voluntary recall in accordance with the company’s commitment to ensure customer safety and satisfaction, the company says. The recall, initiated in accordance with National Highway Traffic Safety Administration regulations, was issued due to a potential manufacturing anomaly which could result in a tread separation. There have been no reports of tire failure, the company reports. ATA will replace the subject tires at no charge to the customer through an authorized ATA dealer.

According to the NHTSA, the recall was expected to begin Feb. 4.

For questions or assistance, contact the ATA Recall Coordinator at 844-921-2778 or 339-900-8030, by emailing [email protected], or by visiting https://atgtire.com/recalls.

If you could boil this year's Continental Tire GOLD member meeting into one takeaway, it's that the tire manufacturer is putting a whole lot of effort into listening and responding to its dealer base. Continental doesn't own company stores, so building a strong value proposition around the company's brands and products with its distributors and retailers is the most effective path to success. To maximize the mutual benefits of this partnership, Continental leadership says acting on the will of its dealer base – whether that's about product, programs, distribution, or anything else – is paramount.
