Alabama Dealer Named Business of the Year

Brundidge, Ala.-based Steed Tire Service was honored as ‘business of the year’ by the Steed Tire owners Lamar and Shirley Steed were honored by the Brundidge Business Association as Business of the Year. Brundidge Business Association.

The award was announced at the group’s annual banquet on Jan. 17.

Owned by Lamar and Shirley Steed, Steed Tire has "been a mainstay in the Brundidge business community for more than 35 years," according to the association.

Longtime Steed Tire employee King Issac presented the award to the Steeds. “We are a family and these people are good people and Mrs. Steed is a great lady,” Isaac said. “We all love one another and work together as a family. That’s how it should be.”

Lamar Steed said that he was “humbled and honored to receive the award,” according to local media, and “expressed appreciation to the BBA for the recognition but quickly gave credit to those around him who share in the success of the business – his wife, his family and the employees.”
