Akebono Brake Corp. has appointed Mike Bruening district manager for the central region, expanding its sales team.
“The growth of our business is driving us to add talent,” said Ken Selinger, director of Akebono aftermarket sales and marketing. “Mike strengthens our sales force with his decades of experience serving the biggest names in the automotive aftermarket parts industry. His knowledge and relationships will be an asset, not only for our existing accounts but also for growing incremental business.”
Bruening comes to the company with more than 30 years automotive sales experience. Most recently he served as territory sales manager with XL Parts. Prior to that he worked at both Federal-Mogul Corp. in sales and product positions and at Cloyes Gear and Products.
