Advanced ID Signs $1.8 Million Contract With Kit Loong

(Staffordshire, U.K./Tyres & Accessories) Advanced ID Corp. has signed an exclusive, three-year commitment contract with Malaysia’s Kit Loong Tyre Management for Advanced ID's RFID and Pneu-Logic's Tire Inspection products.

Kit Loong Holdings, one of Southeast Asia’s largest retreaders and tyre distributors works with Goodyear, Dunlop, Michelin, Bridgestone, BFGoodrich, Pirelli, Continental Sime and Cooper. With over 500 employees and revenues exceeding US $40 million, Kit Loong has retreading facilities in Malaysia and China and will install Advanced ID’s RFID tyre tags in their retread operation in Malaysia, with other countries to follow. Kit Loong will purchase Advanced ID RFID readers and Pneu-Logic kits as part of this agreement. Kit Loong’s territory, covered by this agreement, includes Greater China, Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei, Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos and Myammar.

Dan Finch, president and CEO of Advanced ID, said: "This is a significant contract for Advanced ID. After two years of promoting the tyre RFID tag as the preferred solution for effective tyre management, Kit Loong has determined that embedding the Advanced ID tyre tag in each of the tyres undergoing their retread process will provide increased value for their customers.!

Laren Yeomans, managing director of Advanced ID’s Pneu-Logic Division, added: "I am extremely pleased to see a large company such as Kit Loong Tyre fully adopt and embrace the UHF and Tire Inspection technologies that Advanced ID are able to supply within their operational strategies. Kit Loong will very quickly become the market leaders within their territory and this initial contract constitutes only the tip of the iceberg in our combined continuing sales to the Asian market.

Kenneth Teh, executive director for Kit Loong, commented: "We looked at our options and it was clear that Advanced ID was uniquely qualified to handle our tyre management requirements. We are pleased to sign this agreement and anticipate great success in selling both the Advanced ID and Pneu-Logic products in Asia."

The Chinese retread market total in excess of 10 million tyres annually, and volume is expected to skyrocket in the next few years. According to Dan Finch, Kit Loong continues in its lead position in the fastest growing retread and new tyre market on the globe. Advanced ID will work closely with Kit Loong to ensure that the partnership will be successful.

Kit Loong is headquartered in Malaysia, with activities in Greater China, Singapore, Brunei, Thailand, Indonesia, Philippine, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos and Myammar. Kit Loong is a pioneer in the tyre retread business in Asia and introduced the first radial tyre retread in Malaysia in 1968.
