Goodyear Launches New Tires at Dealer Conference

Goodyear launched a series of new tires for its passenger, light truck and commercial lineups during its Goodyear Dealer Conference in Washington, D.C.

Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3

The Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3 has been added to the Eagle lineup as a new premium, ultra-high performance summer tire.

Offering powerful traction and precise handling in both wet and dry conditions, the tire features an asymmetric tread pattern and a grip-boosting tread compound for increased road adhesion and traction, Goodyear said.

A solid center rib also helps the tire provide quick response and the tire’s construction is adjusted for ultra-high performance suspension systems, the company adds.

The Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3 is available in six sizes, and will offer an additional 19 sizes, from 205/40R17 through 285/35R22, throughout 2016.

Kelly Edge HP

Goodyear also announced the addition of the Kelly Edge HP to its line of Kelly branded tires.

The Kelly Edge HP joins the Kelly Edge A/S and Kelly Edge AT and helps the Kelly Edge Power Line to now cover 85% of target segments, Goodyear said.

The high-performance tire features an asymmetric tread pattern a tread compound for enhanced all-season traction, a tread block sequence to help reduce road noise, and a wide center rib for confident handling, Goodyear said.

Solid shoulder blocks also help stabilize the tire’s footprint for better cornering and blades with biting edges enhance handing during turns, the tiremaker notes.

The Kelly Edge HP will be available in 20 sizes, ranging from 195/55R15 to 245/45R18.

Wrangler TrailRunner AT

The Wrangler TrailRunner AT joins Goodyear’s Wrangler line for on- and off-road driving.

The light truck/SUV tire features large interlocking tread blocks for on- and off-road durability and a tread pattern for noise reduction and enhanced tread life, Goodyear said.

For all-season traction on and off the road, the tire features saw-tooth block edges and multi-angle sipes, while rugged stepped shoulders enhance traction in deep mud and snow, the tiremaker adds.

TrailRunner AT will be available in 41 sizes, ranging from 225/75R16 to 275/60R20.

Goodyear Endurance RSA

For regional and urban delivery fleets are evolving, the new Goodyear Endurance RSA, offers a tire for highway and city driving, fuel efficiency and retreadability.

An addition to Goodyear’s new Endurance medium truck tire line, the Goodyear Endurance RSA offers more miles to removal and lower rolling resistance that its predecessor, the Goodyear G661 HSA, the tiremaker says.

Featuring Goodyear IntelliMax Rib Technology, contoured sipes for tread stiffness helps provide regular wear, high mileage potential, and grip in snow and ice.

The tire also features a 22/32-inch tread depth, steel casing with super-tensile steel belts for extra durability and a dual-layer tread compound for improved fuel economy.

The Endurance RSA’s casing is retreadable and the tire will be available in 11 sizes, first with size 11R22.5, for load ranges G and H, available in April 2016.

O’Reilly Automotive introduced BrakeBest Select Pro – its next generation of brake pad design. Designed for newer model domestic vehicles, the company said these pads are engineered with input from professional technicians to offer a quiet stop, easy break-in and complete corrosion resistance.

O’Reilly Automotive said the signature blue break-in coating not only reduces break-in time, it also prevents future pulsation or vibration. The pads contain five layers of noise-canceling shims and the rotors are machined and balanced to a higher tolerance than others and will perform longer due to the corrosion-resistant coating that covers the entire surface, the company said.
