12 Bigger Sizes For BFGoodrich T/A Line

(Akron/Tire Review) Michelin North America has added 12 new 17- to 22-inch sizes to its popular BFGoodrich T/A/ KO light truck/SUV tire line.

The line extension was launched last week to dealers and media at a special program in San Diego.

The new larger sizes, said BFGoodrich officials, mirror size increases seen at OE. While 16-inch light truck tires remain popular on the replacement side, OEMs have moved to 17- and 18-inch and larger.

The 12 new LT-metric sizes – available in September – boost the T/A/ KO line to 49 total sizes and include LT245/75R17E, LT265/70R17E, LT305/65R17E, LT265/65R18E, LT285/65R18E, LT305/65R18E, LT325/65R18D, 37×12.50R18D, LT285/65R20E, LT305/55R20E, LT325/50R22E and LT325/60R22E.

The size expansion coincides with the 30th anniversary of the BFGoodrich T/A line, which hit the market in 1976.
