Yokohama Rolls Out New OTR Radial All-Weather Tire

Yokohama Tire Corp. (YTC) is debuting a new off-the-road radial all-weather tire – the MYX S01 – during at ConExpo in Las Vegas on March 7-11.

The all-new MYX S01 is a 25-inch radial all-weather tire designed for graders, loaders and dozers. The MYX S01 provides traction on snow and icy surfaces due to advanced siping in the tread, Yokohama said. Additionally, the tire features non-directional tread for all year service and abrasive resistance for longer service life.

The MYX S01 is available in 17.5R25 and 20.5R25.

The MYX S01 is just one of Yokohama’s OTR and commercial tire offerings to be displayed at the show.

“ConExpo comes around every three years and draws over 125,000 top industry attendees,” said Tim Easter, YTC director of off-the-road sales. “It’s an excellent venue to display our OTR/construction tire lines to our customers.”

The tiremaker will also showcase four other OTR tires in Vegas. Also on display will be the RB42, a 35-inch radial for dump trucks; the RL45, a 25-inch radial for articulated dump trucks, scrapers and loaders; the RT41 L-4, a 25-inch radial specifically built for loaders and dozers; and the Y524L5, a 33-inch bias tire for loaders and dozers.

Commercial tires on display include the 108R, MY507, MY507A, and TY527.

If you could boil this year's Continental Tire GOLD member meeting into one takeaway, it's that the tire manufacturer is putting a whole lot of effort into listening and responding to its dealer base. Continental doesn't own company stores, so building a strong value proposition around the company's brands and products with its distributors and retailers is the most effective path to success. To maximize the mutual benefits of this partnership, Continental leadership says acting on the will of its dealer base – whether that's about product, programs, distribution, or anything else – is paramount.
