The Hangzhou Yokohama Tire Co., a producer and seller of tires for passenger cars in China and a subsidiary of The Yokohama Rubber Co., announced that it was awarded the title “Energy Efficiency Forerunner” at the 2013 Annual Petroleum and Chemical Energy Efficiency Benchmarking Enterprise Conference. Hangzhou Yokohama was recognized for the lowest consumption of energy per ton of tires produced.
Energy Efficiency Forerunners are selected in 16 fields, including crude oil processing, carbon and tires, based on data provided by the companies.
