Top Shop Award

Tire Review's Top Shop Award, presented by Ammco/Coats, seeks to honor the "best of the best" independent tire dealers in the U.S. and Canada.

The Top Shop contest is for dealers of all sizes and types, and spotlights independent tire dealers that best epitomize the key attributes and values of a highly successful business and an ideal representative of our industry: customer service and retention, training and education, merchandising and promotion, professional standards and conduct, appearance, solid business management, community involvement, business growth, achievement and innovation. coats x-series model 70x rim clamp tire changer

The tire dealer judged as the Top Shop will receive a Coats X-Series Model 70X Rim Clamp Tire Changer, the Tire Review Top Shop Award trophy, $1,500 in cash, a trip for two (two nights/three days) to the upcoming Global Tire Expo/SEMA Show in Las Vegas, and a feature story on their business in the October issue of Tire Review.

Three finalists will receive a Coats Model 1250-3DV Wheel Balancer, $500 in cash, a Tire Review Top Shop Award Finalist trophy, and a feature story on their business in the October issue of Tire Review.

“We are extremely honored and excited to continue as the presenting sponsor for the Top Shop Awards,” said Kevin Keefe, vice president of marketing for coats model 1250-3dv wheel balancerAmmco/Coats, which has served as the presenting sponsor of the program since its inception. “For the last five years, the Top Shop Awards have brought much-deserved recognition to some highly successful businesses in our industry. The response from tire dealers to this award program has been tremendous, and that speaks volumes about how much dealers want to succeed to delivering for their customers.”

Dealers can nominate their own businesses, or others can nominate tire dealer businesses. The entry process is simple: Those making the nomination need to provide basic information about the dealership being nominated and write a short (300-word maximum) essay explaining why that dealership should be considered.

From there, all entrants will be reviewed and a group of semi-finalists selected. Those semi-finalists will be asked to provide additional information for judging. A panel of judges, including industry professionals and a member of the Tire Review staff, will select the four finalists and, ultimately, the Top Shop Award winner.
