Federated Insurance and the Tire Industry Association are hosting a free webinar – “Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) & Federal Exemptions from Overtime Requirements—on Oct.11 at 1 p.m.
FLSA requires that most employees be paid at least minimum wage for their hours worked, as well as overtime pay. The U.S. Department of Labor announced salary level changes will be applied to certain exemptions impacting payment for hours worked and overtime.
The webinar will review the impact of the changes and an employer’s ability to classify individuals as exempt from overtime requirements. Additionally, the webinar will provide guidance concerning when individuals may be classified as exempt under the executive, administrative, professional, computer and outside sales exemptions based upon the requirements of FLSA.
