A Firestone Complete Auto Care location in Pennsylvania was the victim of a bizarre car theft when a burglar literally drove a car off a lift and through a bay door.
The theft occurred at the Bridgestone Americas-owned location in Bala Cynwyd, Pa., some time on Jan. 26, reports said.
According to police, the burglar took an exhaust system part apparently found in the store’s dumpster, and hurled it through a glass bay door. Once inside the store, the thief found the keys for a black 1993 Honda Civic sitting in one of the store’s other bays, and drove it through the bay door.
Police are looking for the car, which they expect will be heavily damaged. News reports indicated that similar thefts have occurred recently in the region.
