Sumitomo Rubber USA is recalling 138 Kelly Armorsteel KDA tires.
The tires, size 11R22.5, load range G and manufactured Dec. 4, 2016, to Dec. 17, 2016, do not have the tire size, maximum load rate, speed restriction, number of plies, the word “tubeless” and the load range information marked on both sidewalls, according to Consumer Affairs.
If the tires are missing specific information such as the maximum load rate, they may be overloaded, which increases the risk of a crash.
Sumitomo, which produces the Kelly-brand tires under contract to Goodyear, is the brand’s seller of record and will notify owners and dealers, inspect and, as necessary, replace the tires, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin in March 2018, Consumer Affairs reports.
