Star EnviroTech, UAF to Fund Veteran Automotive Scholarship

Star EnviroTech is working with the University of the Aftermarket Foundation (UAF) to fund a Military Veteran Automotive Scholarship.

Any active or honorably discharged member of the U.S. military or military reserve enrolled as a full-time student in a qualified automotive, heavy-duty or diesel technician training program may apply for the scholarship.

“Star is honored to sponsor this scholarship to give back to those who have served in our military,” said Jim Saffie, Star EnviroTech CEO. “We have a commitment to donating to military and veterans’ causes as well as giving back to the future of the automotive aftermarket by supporting education and educators.”

Interested students may visit www.automotivescholarships.com to complete the online application for the Star EnviroTech Scholarship. The University of the Aftermarket Foundation Scholarship Committee will choose the 2017 scholarship recipient.

RNR Tire Express (RNR) recently closed out its annual franchise conference, where it honored the legacy of Richard Rose, who it considered one of its “trailblazing franchisees.” Rose was posthumously awarded with the franchise’s second-ever Lifetime Achievement Award.

Members of the Rose family were in attendance at the conference to accept the Lifetime Achievement Award on Richard’s behalf. Rose's two sons will continue to operate their father’s franchise locations in Virginia and ensure his legacy continues within the RNR system and throughout the communities he services, RNR Tire Express said.
