SimpleTire has added Sean Wilson as director of supply chain.

“With SimpleTire growing at such a rapid pace, my goal is to also grow our supply chain and to create structure with our supplier’s,” Wilson said. “By focusing on providing tools and procedures, we align with our suppliers’ business needs.”

One particularly important element that Wilson is focused on is having the fastest delivery in the industry. To enable that, he’s implementing new procedures so that operations are optimized and hassle-free for everyone, he said.

Wilson started his career in the tire wholesale industry working for Network Tire, and then moved to the retail side, working for United Tire & Service.

Nokian Tyres releases 2023 sustainability report

Highlights of the company’s sustainability actions in 2023 include a commitment to achieve science-based net-zero emissions by 2050.

Nokian Tyres recently published its Sustainability Report 2023. According to the report, Nokian Tyres achieved several external sustainability ratings, such as inclusion in the Dow Jones Sustainability Europe Index, platinum medal from EcoVadis, an AAA rating from MSCI and a leadership-level score of A- on the CDP Climate report.
