Bridgestone and Michelin have received Reifen 2016 Innovation Awards for “notably pioneering developments,” Tyres & Accessories reports.
Michelin and Bridgestone both won in the Technology and Products category. Michelin was honored for its X Line Energy Triple A range of commercial tires, and Bridgestone was honored for the newly launched DriveGuard range.
4JET Technologies won in the Service Concepts and Process Optimization category for its Scannect. The Scannect is designed to equip tires with an individual, permanent QR code, which can be read by a smartphone camera.
ASE Corghi won the Motor Vehicle Service category for its Uniformity. The Uniformity is a tire fitting machine with diagnostic capabilities, T&A reported.
Messe Essen stated that its Innovation Awards promote and embed the awareness of tires and tire-related products and procedures as a sustainable high-tech product in the mind of the public.
