Pirelli Wins AutoPacific Top Replacement Tire Satisfaction Award

Pirelli took top honors in AutoPacific’s Replacement Tire Owner Satisfaction Awards, after two years in second place.

Following AutoPacific’s annual Replacement Tire Brand Dynamics and Satisfaction Study, Pirelli was named the 2015 Overall Winner and 2015 Top Car Replacement Tire Brand, while Michelin came in second and Firestone in third. The Firestone brand took 2015 Top Truck Replacement Tire Brand.

The Replacement Tire Owner Satisfaction Awards measures “how satisfied owners are with 17 different tire attributes, ranging from performance and traction to fuel efficiency and price,” according to AutoPacific.

“Pirelli owners place high importance on performance characteristics like cornering and traction, in addition to the more common attributes of safety, reputation and warranty. To rank at the top in our owner satisfaction awards, it is imperative that Pirelli not just perform well, but perform exceptionally well in areas, like performance, that mean the most to their owners,” George Peterson, president of AutoPacific and author of the study, explains.

If you could boil this year's Continental Tire GOLD member meeting into one takeaway, it's that the tire manufacturer is putting a whole lot of effort into listening and responding to its dealer base. Continental doesn't own company stores, so building a strong value proposition around the company's brands and products with its distributors and retailers is the most effective path to success. To maximize the mutual benefits of this partnership, Continental leadership says acting on the will of its dealer base – whether that's about product, programs, distribution, or anything else – is paramount.
