As the “Official Tire of the Los Angeles Auto Show,” Pirelli is featured on exclusive makes and car debuts at the 2014 Los Angeles Auto Show including Audi, Aston Martin, Chrysler, Mercedes Benz, McLaren, Ford and Maserati. The tiremaker is also highlighting its Formula One tire technology, OEM partnership and full product portfolio at the show.
In its West Hall activation area, Pirelli is featuring F1 simulators, as well as a McLaren 650S and Tesla Model S P85 display. Sauber affiliate driver Simona De Silvestro will also be a special guest at the booth to sign autographs.
Pirelli’s second activation area in the South Hall will employ Oculus technology to bring to life a ‘virtual garage’. Part of the Connected Car Expo, Pirelli’s exclusive use of this technology will immerse consumers in the Pirelli world and enable them to select videos on Pirelli’s F1 tire technology process, F1 race day applications and the OEM process/partnerships.
“Pirelli has a unique story to tell at this year’s show that sets us apart in the premium segment, which is our technology transfer from the track to the street,” said Paolo Ferrari, chairman and CEO of Pirelli Tire North America. “This is a key factor in Pirelli’s leadership in fitting the world’s best cars when they enter the market and why Pirelli tires are featured on a preponderance of premium and prestige makes at the 2014 LA Auto Show.”
“We owe this to OEM relationships that we value tremendously, both around the world and within North America. Production at our factory in Mexico continues to expand which facilitates launches of new products tailored specifically to our market, such as the new P Zero All Season Plus tire available in 2015 – an ultra-high performance all season replacement tire,” continued Ferrari.
Attendees are encouraged to share their photos and videos of Pirelli tires at the show on their Facebook and Instagram channels with the hashtag #FindPirelli for the chance to win a set of Pirelli tires. The show is open to the public Nov. 21-30.
