Openbay, a nationwide online auto repair marketplace, has partnered with AutoZone to create an online network of Boston-area automobile professionals for consumers to compare providers and schedule repair and maintenance services.
The network is available on AutoZone.com starting this month and allows Boston-area consumers to shop for and schedule services.
According to Openbay, its platform asks consumers questions about his or her specific automotive service needs and vehicle problems, and local automotive professionals will respond with service offers. Consumers can then select from multiple offers based on pricing, location, customer ratings and reviews.
Openbay has used the Boston area to test new services since the company started in Cambridge, Mass. The AutoZone partnership is the first initiative for consumers to book vehicle repair services.
