Vintage and classic specialist Longstone Tyres is saying benvenuto to Italian customers, and to cater for car enthusiasts from this part of the world the U.K.-based company has launched an Italian language Web site.
Longstone worked with a translation company to prepare the www.longstonegomme.it site, and proprietor Doug Cawley states the Web site has already been a "great success" and obtained good search results from Google.it and frequent Italian traffic.
The site’s creation was prompted when Longstone noticed an upswing in orders from overseas, particularly from Italy. The company quickly realized communication was being slowed down and purchases and enquiries more difficult by the language barrier, and thus the decision was made to translate the company Web site and product databases into Italian.
Longstone Tyres says it has already noticed an increase in orders from Italy since the site went live. Indeed, when examining current sales figures the company estimates the Italian site will have paid for itself within four months to a year. (Tyres & Accessories)
