Monro, Inc., one of the nations largest independently-owned and operated automotive service chains, announced that it has acquired seven Appalachian Tire locations in four states.
Monro already has 1,150 stores in 27 states, including 250 in Ohio, Kentucky, West Virginia and Virginia, where the new retail stores are located.
Monro purchased Appalachian Tire’s seven full-service retail stores in a transaction that closed March 4. The stores are located in Athens, Ohio; Prestonsburg, Kentucky; Beckley, Charleston, Hurricane, and Lewisburg, West Virginia; and Roanoke, Virginia. The stores will be rebranded as Mr. Tire Auto Service Centers, one of eight major regional brands owned by Monro.
