Mid-Atlantic Tire Pros Creates Auto Tech Scholarship

Mid-Atlantic Tire Pros in Easton, Md., has established a scholarship at Easton High School for automotive technology students who plan on furthering their education. The “Grow Our Own Auto Tech” scholarship gives students $1,000 to further their education. Scholarship

“I was reading in the paper about scholarships available at Easton High School and saw that almost all of them were for general studies,” said Terry John, owner of Mid-Atlantic Tire Pros. “There is a great program called ‘Grow Your Own Teacher’ where the school system provides financial assistance to students interested in education and returning back to our area to teach.”

Taking that idea, John decided to help create a scholarship geared to automotive technology.

The $1,000 scholarship will be awarded at the high school’s award ceremony on May 18.

For more information about the “Grow Our Own Auto Tech” Scholarship, contact Pam Clay or Brian Willey at Easton High School.
