Michelin Sweeps J.D. Power Awards for OE Tires

Michelin has been awarded top honors in all four segments of the 2017 J.D. Power Original Equipment Tire Customer Satisfaction Study.

Adding to its collection of J.D. Power Awards, Michelin has again been awarded top honors in all four segments of the 2017 J.D. Power Original Equipment Tire Customer Satisfaction Study. Those category segments include Luxury, Passenger Car, Truck/Utility and Performance Sport segments. It was the company’s 14th consecutive top ranking in the Luxury category, ninth consecutive for Passenger Car and second consecutive in the Truck/Utility category.

The four new awards raise Michelin’s win total to 84 since the J.D. Power tire study began in 1989.

“It is great to see our close collaboration validated by our partners’ most important customers – the purchasers of new vehicles,” said Nicolas Duriez, vice president of operations for passenger and light truck original equipment tires, Michelin North and South America.

The 2017 U.S. Original Equipment Tire Customer Satisfaction Study conducted by J.D. Power is based on responses from more than 29,622 original owners of 2015 and 2016 model-year vehicles. Satisfaction is examined in four measures: tire wear, tire ride, tire appearance and tire traction/handling.
