Matco Tools has launched the “I Drive For” and #IDriveFor social media campaign to raise awareness about breast cancer. The program, which will build on the success of Matco’s previous “Tools for the Cause” campaign, begins Aug. 25 and lasts until Sept. 15.
The “I Drive For” campaign encourages people to share the first name and last initial of those who have fought or are currently fighting breast cancer on Matco’s Facebook page. According to the company, all names will then be added to NHRA champion driver Antron Brown’s dragster and featured at the Reading, Pa., and Las Vegas races during the month of October. Brown’s Matco Tools dragster will also feature a special pink paint scheme.
Brown himself will drive for his mother-in-law, Linda Matranga, a breast cancer survivor. I Drive For … Linda will adorn his firesuit and the side of his racecar.
Matco will also donate 15% of the sale from each of its limited-edition pink tools to Susan G. Komen, a non-profit breast cancer organization, with a guaranteed minimum donation of $100,000.
