Live at SEMA: Cooper Tire Adds 40-Inch Size in Discoverer STT Pro Line

Cooper Tire has added a new 40-inch size to its Discoverer STT Pro light truck product line.

The tiremaker said the new size, 40X13.50R17, is sought after in the off-road community as it provides extra height for clearing obstacles. The new size tire is on display at Cooper’s booth (#43019) at this week’s SEMA Show.

Since its introduction in 2015, Cooper said the Discoverer STT Pro product line has been winning accolades from
the off-road community for its ability to tackle the toughest terrain while maintaining excellent on-road manners not typically found in a dedicated off-road tire.

The features Armor-Tek3 construction that adds strength to the sidewall and tread area, and mud release dimples and scoops that prevent build-up and improve traction in off-road conditions. The Discoverer STT Pro also features a silica-infused tread compound to improve traction in wet conditions, and lowers rolling resistance for improved fuel mileage, according to the tiremaker.
