Live at SEMA: Cooper Debuts New UHP Zeon, Showcases Popular Lines

Cooper Tire & Rubber Co. is showcasing a wide range of its newest and most popular products at this week’s SEMA Show (booth #43019).

The tiremaker said its Cooper Zeon RS3-G1 is being highlighted as a breakthrough in the UHP tire category.

According to Scott Jamieson, Cooper’s director of product management, “Innovations in the tire’s tread compound and design help it deliver incredible grip, allowing the tire to hold the road at up to 1g in tight corners – a marvel of cutting edge technology for an all-season tire,” he said.

The Cooper Zeon RS3-G1 is currently available in the United States in 37 sizes and features a treadwear protection warranty of up to 50,000 miles.

The tiremaker also is displaying products from its Discoverer STT Pro line, including the addition of a new 40-inch tire. Since its introduction in 2015, the Discoverer STT Pro product line has won accolades from the off-road community for its ability to tackle the toughest terrain while maintaining excellent on-road manners not typically found in a dedicated off-road tire, according to Cooper.

Cooper also is featuring its Discoverer SRX line for SUVs and CUVs, and its all-season CS5 Touring tire, which the company said offers crisp steering response, controlled handling around corners and superior wet handling.

If you could boil this year's Continental Tire GOLD member meeting into one takeaway, it's that the tire manufacturer is putting a whole lot of effort into listening and responding to its dealer base. Continental doesn't own company stores, so building a strong value proposition around the company's brands and products with its distributors and retailers is the most effective path to success. To maximize the mutual benefits of this partnership, Continental leadership says acting on the will of its dealer base – whether that's about product, programs, distribution, or anything else – is paramount.
