Throughout the month of October, the Louisiana Independent Tire Dealers Association (LITDA) will host events to benefit the LITDA Scholarship Program.

The scholarship recognizes the children of LITDA members “who have achieved academic excellence and who have proven community leadership abilities,” the association said.

On Oct. 15, LITDA will host the Golf Pairing & Cocktail Reception at the Bar 7 Cocktail Bar in Coushatta Casino Resort. On Oct.16, LITDA will host the Scholarship Golf Tournament at Koasati Pines.

Registration for the LITDA Fall Event is $125 per player and is open to independent tire dealers, vendors and the public.
On Oct. 9-10 participating member locations will also donate $1 to the 2016 LITDA Scholarship Fund for every tire sold during the second annual Dollars for Scholars program.

The 2016 Scholarship deadline is Feb. 18, 2016, and recipients will be honored at LITDA’s 2016 Annual Convention at the Beau Rivage in Biloxi, Mississippi on March 3-5, 2016.
