Kumho Tire USA Inc. has been awarded the 2015 Event Technology Award for Best Touch/Gesture Interactive ad category for its virtual NBA game/ad in New York City.
The touch screen ad in New York City’s Times Square subway station was set up during the 2015 NBA All Star Weekend and allowed participants to play an interactive hoop-shot game featuring Carmello Anthony.
During the game, fans could shoot virtual basketball hoops, with Kumho tires as a basketballs, to attempt and beat Anthony’s score. Afterward, participants could take a photo with a virtual Anthony for social media.
