Police in Coolidge, Ariz., arrested Daniel Fuentes, owner of JC’s Tires, last week after they found evidence of stolen vehicles on store property.
According to local reports, the investigation into JC’s Tires began earlier last week when the Coolidge Police Department received a complaint from one of the shop’s customers, who said she brought her Nissan Exterra to the shop and was told it had been stolen when she tried to get it back.
Police initially searched the property for the vehicle and it couldn’t be found. A day later, the vehicle’s GPS pinged its location at Irvine, Calif.; two days after that incident, it allegedly pinged back that it had been returned to the shop in Coolidge, according to local reports. Meanwhile, CPD received another report that a Nissan Titan was stolen and was being dismantled at the shop.
When police executed a search warrant on the shop, they found pieces of the Titan. The Exterra was not located at the shop.
