Hercules Tire & Rubber Co. has grown its H-Series medium truck offerings during 2013. The tiremaker added sizes to existing lines, launched new patterns and earned SmartWay verification on four H-Series lines.
“We’ve seen exciting growth in our H-Series offering over the past year. Both dealers and their customers have recognized the value this line-up offers and have really embraced it,” said Joshua Simpson, vice president of marketing for Hercules.
Some H-Series tires added this year include the H-307. Additionally, the H-902 and H-302 lines added several sizes.
The Hercules H-307 mixed service tire is designed for severe service and aggressive construction applications, the tiremaker said. It features an extra-deep, aggressive tread design that increases tread life and grip on- and off-road. Additionally a special compound provides the tire resistance to cuts, chips, tearing and irregular wear.
The Hercules H-307 is available in two new sizes: 11R22.5 16 PR 146/143 G and 11R24.5 16 PR 149/146 G.
The H-302, a deep tread tire, added a new size – 11R24.5/16 149/146 G – earlier in 2013. The tire provides excellent traction, cut resistances and features a heavy-duty all-steel casing for retreadability, the tiremaker said. It also comes in 11R22.5/16 146/143 G.
The H-902, an all-position rib tire for both steer and trailer applications, added four new sizes this year, including 245/70R17.5/14 143/141 J, 265/70R19.5/14 143/141 J, 11R22.5/14 144/142 M, and 11R22.5/16 146/143M
Hercules also earned SmartWay verifications for its H-502, H-702, H-802 and H-903 radials. The tiremaker said it plans on continuing its efforts to gain SmartWay verification for other medium truck tires next year.
Hercules plans to introduce an all-new H-Series offering at the 2013 SEMA Show, it said.
