Hercules Tire & Rubber Co. has added to its winter tire line up with its new Hercules Avalanche R G2 studless winter tire.
“The high quality construction of the Avalanche R G2 is very sophisticated. Both the design and the compound can accommodate any weather condition, so the tire is especially effective in areas that have highly variable winter weather. Versatility and value are the cornerstone of the Avalanche R G2,” said Joshua Simpson, vice president of marketing for Hercules.
The Avalanche R G2 uses a new AWC2 compound that provides superior lateral and linear grip at low temperatures and maintains performance in all temperatures and weather conditions, Hercules noted. The tire also features siping on the shoulders to draw in water, jagged edge tread blocks to aid in deceleration and create biting edges for braking, and a tread block and structural design that creates responsive steering, Hercules said.
Additionally, the Hercules Avalanche R G2 is an EcoFT designated tire, meaning it has a low rolling resistance and is manufactured using purified oils.
The Avalanche R G2 feature a R speed rating and is available in 38 SKUs with rim diameters sizes ranging 14-18 inches.
