The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. is showcasing how mining operations can lower their operational costs at its booth (#6009) at the MINExpo 2016.
The tiremaker will be displaying several products including its latest 63-inch, ultra-large haulage mining tire, the RM-4B+.
“Robust, high-technology products like the RM-4B+ are critical to successful mine haul truck operation,” said Eric Matson, global field engineering manager of OTR at Goodyear.
Goodyear notes that mines require additional support beyond tire the tire purchase, so the tiremaker will also share its EMTrack Performance Tracking system with show attendees. The EMTrack Performance Tracking system allows mining operations to track data about the performance of their tires.
“EMTrack monitors tire inflation levels, tread depth and tire cost-per-hour,” said Matson, “Information that is collected and entered into EMTrack can be organized into custom tire performance reports to help mining operations make better business decisions about their tires, both now and in the future.”
“If you don’t track your tires, you will never know if you’re getting full use out of them,” he continued. “Goodyear’s EMTrack system helps mining operations optimize their tire investment, which is a considerable benefit. It’s all part of Goodyear’s ongoing effort to help mine operations lower their operating costs.”
