During its recent “Breakthrough” Dealer Conference in Washington, D.C., Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. announced several new consumer and commercial tire lines.
Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3
The Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3 has been added to the Eagle lineup as a new premium, ultra-high performance summer tire.
Offering powerful traction and precise handling in both wet and dry conditions, the tire features an asymmetric tread pattern and a grip-boosting tread compound for increased road adhesion and traction, Goodyear said.
A solid center rib also helps the tire provide quick response and the tire’s construction is adjusted for ultra-high performance suspension systems, the company adds.
The Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3 is available in six sizes, and will offer an additional 19 sizes, from 205/40R17 through 285/35R22, throughout 2016.
The Eagle F1 Asymmetric is also offered as OE on all 2016 Chevrolet Camaro fitments.
Kelly Edge HP
Goodyear also announced the addition of the Kelly Edge HP to its line of Kelly-branded tires.
The Kelly Edge HP joins the Kelly Edge A/S and Kelly Edge AT and helps the Kelly Edge Power Line to now cover 85% of target segments, Goodyear said.
The high-performance tire features an asymmetric tread pattern a tread compound for enhanced all-season traction, a tread block sequence to help reduce road noise, and a wide center rib for confident handling, Goodyear said.
Solid shoulder blocks also help stabilize the tire’s footprint for better cornering and blades with biting edges enhance handing during turns, the tiremaker notes.
The Kelly Edge HP will be available in 20 sizes, ranging from 195/55R15 to 245/45R18. The tire will offer a 45,000-mile limited tread life warranty.
Wrangler TrailRunner AT
The Wrangler TrailRunner AT joins Goodyear’s Wrangler light truck line for on- and off-road driving.
The light truck/SUV tire features large interlocking tread blocks for on- and off-road durability and a tread pattern for noise reduction and enhanced tread life, Goodyear said. For all-season traction on and off the road, the tire features saw-tooth block edges and multi-angle sipes, while rugged stepped shoulders enhance traction in deep mud and snow, the tiremaker adds.
TrailRunner AT will be available in 41 sizes, ranging from 225/75R16 to 275/60R20. The tire will offer a 55,000 mile limited tread wear warranty.
Goodyear Endurance RSA
For regional and urban delivery fleets that are evolving, the new Goodyear Endurance RSA, offers a tire for highway and city driving, fuel efficiency and retreadability.
An addition to Goodyear’s new Endurance medium truck tire line, the Goodyear Endurance RSA offers more miles to removal and lower rolling resistance that its predecessor, the Goodyear G661 HSA, the tiremaker says.
Featuring Goodyear IntelliMax Rib Technology, contoured sipes for tread stiffness helps provide regular wear, high mileage potential, and grip in snow and ice.
The tire also features a 22/32-inch tread depth, steel casing with super-tensile steel belts for extra durability and a dual-layer tread compound for improved fuel economy.
The Endurance RSA’s casing is retreadable and the tire will be available in 11 sizes, first with size 11R22.5, for load ranges G and H, available in April 2016.
Goodyear Endurance WHA
Designed as the company’s longest-wearing waste haul tire, the Endurance WHA will become the go-to tire for waste haul fleets, Goodyear said. Also offered is a matching Endurance WHA retread.
The Endurance WHA, featuring a scrub-resistant compound and a deep, 24/32-inch tread depth, offers more miles to removal than any previous Goodyear waste haul tire, the tiremaker said. Additionally, the tire features sidewall protector shingles that help resist sidewall scuffing, an optimized shoulder to direct pressure away from the tire’s outer tread, and four circumferential grooves for all-season traction. The tire also offers a steel belt casing package of endurance and retreadbility, Goodyear said.
The Endurance WHA is also offered with optional DuraSeal Technology, which instantly seals nail-hole punctures of up to ¼ inches.
Goodyear Fuel Max RSA
For regional and long haul driving, Goodyear has unveiled the Fuel Max RSA.
The SmartWay-compliant tire features Goodyear’s Fuel Max Technology, consisting of cool-running compounds to lower tire-rolling resistance and improve fuel efficiency, the tiremaker said. The tire also has Goodyear’s IntelliMax Rib Technology with contoured sipes for a stiffer tread area helping the tire get lower rolling resistance, higher mileage and even wear.
Additional tire features include a tri-layer compound for exceptional mileage, rolling resistance nad curb impact resistance, as well as super-tensile steel belts for added stability and toughness, Goodyear said.
The Fuel Max RSA is available in size 11R22.5, 295/75R22.5 and 11R24.5 in load ranges G and H.
