Phoenix-area tire dealers Howard and Patty Fleischmann certainly pride themselves on their involvement in the communities they serve, and recently they have themselves been honored.
Howard was elected president of the Red Means Stop Traffic Safety Alliance for 2013. Red Means Stop is a non-profit organization providing education and awareness programs on the dangers and consequences of red light running.
Howard’s stepson Manuelito Joseph Patton was killed in an October 2008 accident where the other driver ran a red light. "Mano" was a Marine who was home to visit family before starting a second tour of duty in Iraq.
And earlier this week, Phoenix Pride announced that Howard and Patty were named Grand Marshals for the 17th Annual Phoenix Pride Parade, which will be held April 6.
Community Tire has been a long time supporter of the region’s LGBTQ community, and is a member of the Phoenix Gay Chamber of Commerce.
