A Tires Plus district manager in Fort Lauderdale is being charged for stealing more than $250,000 from the company in 2009 and 2011. His accomplice in the 2011 theft also faces charges.
The South Florida Sentinel reported the former manager was arrested on Tuesday and faces charges of grand theft, organized fraud and communications fraud.
In 2009, the district manager instructed employees to process more than $104,000 in petty cash transactions for email advertising at local Chamber of Commerce offices, according to reports.
He later teamed up with another employee in 2011 and instructed employees to process some $150,000 by claiming transactions were for email advertising at Quantum Ad Tech.
Both the former district manager and his accomplice face similar charges.
